Once again our regional competition has come around. This year we are presenting the winners show at the SoCo Weekender. This is because putting on this show at club level is not viable in its present form. Next year we are hoping to introduce a new system which will make this possible once again. The competition is only open to IAC members and Clubs except for the youth section. The rules of the competition remain the same—please read them. As in previous years we will be sending your entries to another IAC region for judging. The competition is an open one, but some awards are only awarded to certain types of films. Individual Professional/ Semi-Professional, Film-Media Student, Club, Novice, and Youth Entries must be identified on the entry form. We are not in a position yet to project high definition copies, but we will accept them as it may be possible to show them to the judges in this form and to produce a HD Roadshow tape. However, high definition films must be on mini-dv tape and we would like a standard definition mini-dv as well. I look forward to receiving your entries. Closing date September 6th 2010.
